## Lyrics

[Intro – ambient synths, soft choir pad, slow swell]
[bell tones shimmer like distant light]

[Verse 1]
Most High, all-powerful, good Lord above,
All praise and glory belong to Your love;
Honor and blessing rise endlessly,
No human voice is worthy of Thee.

[Pre-Chorus]
Yet still creation lifts its song,
And calls our silent hearts along.

[Chorus]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
With every voice and every breath,
Your praise resounds through life and death.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
From sky to sea, from dust set free,
All life proclaims Your majesty.

[Verse 2]
Praised through Brother Sun's bright flame,
Day awakens in Your name;
Radiant splendor fills the sky,
Bearing Your own likeness high.
Praised through Sister Moon and stars,
Shining through the silent dark;
Precious lights in heaven's height,
Gentle guardians of the night.

[Pre-Chorus]
The turning skies declare Your love,
All things sustained by grace above.

[Chorus]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
With every voice and every breath,
Your praise resounds through life and death.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
From sky to sea, from dust set free,
All life proclaims Your majesty.

[Verse 3]
Praised through Brother Wind and air,
Cloud and storm and weather fair;
Every breath and shifting day
Carries life along its way.
Praised through Sister Water clear,
Humble, precious, ever near;
Pure and gentle, flowing free,
Gift of quiet charity.

[Instrumental – flowing guitar delay, synth arpeggios]

[Verse 4]
Praised through Brother Fire's light,
Warming hearts and guarding night;
Joyful, strong, and bright with flame,
Dancing sparks that speak Your name.
Praised through Mother Earth who feeds,
Flower and fruit and living seeds;
All who walk upon her face
Rest within sustaining grace.

[Pre-Chorus]
Through dust and flame Your goodness shown,
No living thing stands here alone.

[Chorus]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
With every voice and every breath,
Your praise resounds through life and death.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
From sky to sea, from dust set free,
All life proclaims Your majesty.

[Bridge – tempo softens, instruments pull back]
Blessed those who choose to forgive,
Who suffer still and learn to live;
Peace shall be their crown one day,
Held within Your gentle way.

[Verse 5 – sparse instrumentation]
Praised through Sister Death at last,
None may flee her shadow cast;
Blessed those found within Your will,
Whom the second death cannot kill.

[Build – drums return slowly]

[Final Chorus – full band, soaring guitars]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
Through life and death Your mercies ring,
Eternal hope our voices bring.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
With humble hearts and voices raised,
Forever shall Your Name be praised.

[Outro – choir pad returns, instruments fade]
Praise and bless the Lord above,
Serve Him still in humble love;
All creation, great and small,
Give Him thanks – the Lord of all.

[Chorus]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
With every voice and every breath,
Your praise resounds through life and death.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
From sky to sea, from dust set free,
All life proclaims Your majesty.

[Chorus]
All praise be Yours, O Lord most high,
Let earth and heaven glorify;
With every voice and every breath,
Your praise resounds through life and death.
All praise be Yours, let all things sing,
Creation gathered to its King;
From sky to sea, from dust set free,
All life proclaims Your majesty.

[Instrumental fade out]

## Song meaning

“Canticle of the Creatures” freely adapts Saint Francis of Assisi’s medieval Umbrian Cantico di Frate Sole—also known as the Canticle of Brother Sun—into a long-form rock prayer; it is not a translation from Latin. The song moves through Brother Sun, Sister Moon and the stars, wind, water, fire, and Mother Earth, not treating creation as divine, but hearing every created thing point beyond itself to the goodness of its Maker. As the music grows, the praise becomes more personal and demanding. Forgiveness, suffering, peace, and even Sister Death enter the song, reminding us that praise is not only for bright or easy moments. The emotional movement runs from wonder before the heavens to humility about human life, reconciliation, mortality, and hope. By the final refrain, all creation has become a choir gathered before God. The song closes where Francis's canticle leads: with gratitude, humble service, and the conviction that life and death alike remain within God's mercy.

## Song inspiration

Inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi’s medieval Umbrian Cantico di Frate Sole, also called the Canticle of the Creatures or Canticle of Brother Sun. The song is a free English adaptation, not a translation from Latin, and draws especially on its praise of God through Brother Sun, Sister Moon and the stars, wind, water, fire, Mother Earth, those who forgive and endure suffering, and Sister Bodily Death.

## Song style

Atmospheric synths, classic 1980s rock, power ballad, arena rock; bright countertenor male vocals

## Suno model
