Thank you for taking a look at this page. I assume if you are here your wondering how you can support the project and artistic vision of Augustinus Vox and Sapientiae Lux. Here are some ideas:
Enjoy the music
As the number one fan of Augustinus Vox, the music and content has been a joy to me and I hope that it is also to you. If you enjoy the music I am very happy and this supports me by making my time and effort worth more than if I simply made the music for myself.
Listen to the music
The most tangible and easiest way to support the project is by actually listening to the music with your own ears on any paid streaming platform as often as the mood strikes you. I do earn about $0.004 per stream on average from each stream so if you like the music and listen to my entire catalog (which today is about 100 songs) I could earn about $0.40. I know that may not sound like much but to me that 40 cents is from your heart to mine. It means the world to me.
Think on the music
I originally made the music as a fun and engaging way to learn and think about the writings of Saint Augustine. It has been helpful to that end. If your doing that you are supporting the project by sharing in the intent and vision of what it is all about.
Read or listen to Augustine
I am hopeful the music builds a desire to read or listen to Augustine’s works. Many of those writings have had a profound impact on my thinking and faith and am hopeful this music helps to share and spread that same encouragement I have received.
Share the music
Sharing the music and content from the site spreads the encouragement and helps to engage others in the mission and aim of the project. This helps add to each item mentioned above.
Build on the music
I am hopeful that the project might inspire some to expand on what I am doing in their own artistic way. Perhaps you are musician with talent to play music and wish to perform a song in your own style or in the style of Vox or Lux. That is awesome! Or perhaps you are a person who wants to tackle a similar project on Thomas Aquinas? Very cool. Maybe you want to create lo fi music on a book of the bible or an ancient philosopher? I think both would be great projects. Perhaps you can appreciate the aim of project but don’t like 80s rock and think my lyrics too silly and want to redo the project in a screamo and scholarly way. That rocks! The point is there are many ways to build on the vision of Augustinus Vox and if your a creative type I say go for it.
Pray for me
I am a Christian and I believe in the need for prayer and power of prayer. Life is very challenging sometimes and we all need help. There so many great prayers in the bible if you dont know how to pray then pray like this:
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best… and may be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.
Worship God
The music in many ways is an expression of prayer and worship of God. If you’re joining in to a song with your heart and/or mind then we are collectively giving praise to Him to whom all praise is due. He is the Maker of All Projects who Himself inspires all art. He is the True and Perfect Artist. The Giver of all gifts. He alone is the aim of all good work and our source of life. He created all things good and seeks out every weary soul to reconcile them to Himself that they might find their highest good and true love and joy and peace in union with Him. Worship that one and we share together in support of His grand design, a project of love, harmony and peace to all the world by His Son our Savior Jesus Christ in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He is The Way!
Thank you!
